I have been speaking with Forge motorsport about building a set of their spring swapable actuators for our cars.
One of the reasons some people are having trouble holding high boost is due to weak actuators. My understanding is JWT turbos have a 12psi base spring in their actuators, and the HKS actuators many buy to replace them are still only a 10-15 psi spring. Forge offers many different springs for their actuators including a 17-20 base psi spring, and if you don't like that base boost setting you can order different springs and change them yourself.Degraded posted a while back here, about this but there was no real information to come out of that thread. I have since been speaking with the head of their USA division and he said if I sent him my actuators he could try and make a set for our cars (he said he made a set for his SR20 swap 240SX and they work great, and he would like to get into more of the nissan/japanese market) I had planned to give him my actuators to use but I am out of time since we need them as we are bolting up my turbos today (more pictures to come of that in a different post). SO, finally my request: if anyone has a set of JWT Sport 700 actuators or a set of HKS actuators that they can part with for a few weeks please let me know via email. I have already emailed a few members who I thought would have en extra set and no luck (one member even threw out his old jwt sport 700 actuators when he got the HKS ones in - crazy!).
